Didgeridoo Dreamtimetm - Make your own didgeridoo Experience program
LESSON OUTLINE Students learn to make their OWN Didgeridoo and keep it! Students will be provided a blank template of tubes to build their own didgeridoo. Students will be able to create their own designs and patterns to express their own artistic skills. The workshop will begin with an introduction of the unique history and presentation of the Didgeridoo:- - made from hollowed out eucalyptus tree by termites - short sample performance by instructor - instrument dates back thousands of years - usually played by indigenous Australian men for ceremonies Students will then be provided with materials and essential knowledge tools used to build and design their very own Didgeridoo. Students will be grouped to emphasise on cooperative learning. A short explanation of how to express their creative skills using the blank tubes as a template of their Didgeridoo. *Students and teachers may opt to choose to perform their newly acquired skills. - for performance, an addition of 3 more hours (3 sessions) is required.
